Build a template file for Facebook language/country/supplementary feed

Facebook allow merchants to submit supplemental feeds to update (supplementary feed) product data or add localised product information (language/country feed) to items created by primary feeds in the Catalogue.
The app now allow you to generate these feeds, taking a template file as inputs. This template file specifies which columns to be included in the generated feed file, and can be retrieved using the "Build Template" feature in Commerce Manager.

These are the steps to generate a Country/Language feed template:
  1. Go to Commerce Manager and select your catalogue.
  2. Open the Catalogue tab and go to Data sources.
  3. Select Add information > Add localised product information in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Build template. In the pop-up window, select either Country feed template or Language feed template and then Next. Note: To localise your item information by both country and language, you'll need to follow these steps twice to build two separate templates. You can include information for multiple countries in the country feed and multiple languages in the language feed.
  5. Choose the countries or languages that you want to reach. Select Next.
  6. Select the fields (item attributes) that you want to localise. For example, we recommend localising prices, availability, links and sizes by country and localising titles and descriptions by language. The template builder suggests some commonly localised fields. You can also add more when you fill in your template later. When you've finished, select Next.
  7. Select Download to download your template in CSV format. Select Close.

The steps are slightly different for a Supplementary feed template:

  1. Go to Commerce Manager and select your catalogue.
  2. Open the Catalogue tab and go to Data sources.
  3. Select Add information > Add Supplementary feed in the top-right corner.
  4. Select Build template.
  5. Click Add category. The download will include a separate file for each categories added here.
  6. Select the product category that suits the products included in feed. Each categories has its set of fields (item attributes) that need to be filled in. Select Next.
  7. Select Download to download your template in CSV format. Select Close.

You can then use the downloaded template file to create the feed in the app.
